Revolut Unveils Its Own ATMs Across the US – Find Out Where!

Revolut becomes the first neobank to set up its own ATMs. Spain heralds this strategic shift with 200 planned ATMs featuring a futuristic design, instant account opening, and fee-free withdrawals for customers. An expansion into other European countries is expected by 2026.

A Global First for a Fully Online Bank

Revolut, a British fintech with a clearly digital DNA, is taking a somewhat unexpected turn by installing automatic teller machines (ATMs). This move marks a first for an online bank. The initial rollout includes 50 ATMs in Madrid and Barcelona in the coming weeks, aiming for a total of 200 machines across Spain. The goal is obvious: to fill the gap of physical interaction with users and to bolster its on-the-ground presence. These kiosks will offer more than just cash withdrawals: they will also allow users to open accounts, order physical cards, or check their balances on the spot.

Modern Design, Expanded Features

Revolut’s ATMs stand out from traditional machines. They feature a sleek black design, a 32-inch touchscreen, a multilingual interface, contactless withdrawals, and soon, facial recognition technology. Security is enhanced with end-to-end encryption. The aim is to provide a seamless experience, whether you’re a regular customer or a hurried tourist. Another major advantage is that withdrawals are free for Revolut customers, even internationally, using the usual exchange rates from the app. For non-customers, competitive fees will be charged, eventually offering dynamic currency conversion directly at the machine.

Why Spain, and Why Now?

Spain was not chosen randomly: over 60% of payments there are still made in cash. Revolut also has nearly 5 million customers in Spain, about the same as in France. The country therefore serves as a test market for this physical deployment. The company promises easy localization of ATMs via its app, complete with hours, addresses, and directions. Other major cities like Valencia and Malaga will follow. France, Germany, and Italy are already on the radar for 2026.

A Tool for Acquisition and Visibility

Revolut hopes to use these ATMs as a strategic lever: to attract new customers, increase credibility, and make the brand visible in public spaces. These machines become complete banking hubs, serving everyday needs without a traditional branch. For a neobank born in the digital age, this move back to physical isn’t a step back but a logical extension of its model. It remains to be seen how adoption will fare outside of Spain.
