Harlowe Unveils Two New Portable Lamps, Including a MagSafe-Compatible Model!

Harlowe introduces the Mini II and Sol 5 Spectra, two upgraded portable LED lighting solutions. With enhanced performance and an expanded color range, these models cater to content creators seeking versatile and powerful products for both smartphone and studio setups.

Mini II: More Power, Greater Battery Life, Same Compact Size

Marketed as an upgrade from the original Mini launched in 2023, the Mini II maintains its compact size (485 g) while boosting efficiency. Harlowe reports a luminous flux of 1800 lumens, which is 12.5% higher than its predecessor, and a 20% increase in battery life. Active cooling ensures stable operation during extended shooting. The adjustable beam angle from 15° to 45°, fitted with a magnetic system, allows for quick lighting adjustments depending on the scene. Control is managed through physical buttons or a mobile app, with precise temperature adjustments (2700K to 6500K). The Standard kit includes traditional accessories (barndoors, dome, grid, gels), while the Creator kit adds a tripod, V-Mount adapters, and a ball head mount.

Sol 5 Spectra: A Pocket-Sized RGB Light for Smartphones

Weighing just 155 grams and sporting compact dimensions, the Sol 5 Spectra takes mobile lighting to the next level. This model replaces the Sol 5 bi-color by incorporating full RGBCW control, significantly expanding creative possibilities in mobile photography and videography. Compatible with MagSafe, it attaches directly to an iPhone for quick setup. The light is controlled via a touchscreen or Bluetooth, featuring a temporary Boost mode that doubles light intensity for 30 seconds. The Creator kit includes two effect lenses, five diffusion plates, and a mini tripod. The basic version remains simpler, equipped with essential accessories to get started.

A Modular Approach Designed for Creators

Harlowe focuses on a modular approach, offering comprehensive kits from the start and a range of accessories that can evolve as needed. The Mini II is aimed at videographers and photographers who need serious portable lighting for both studio and field setups. The Sol 5 Spectra, on the other hand, specifically targets smartphone content creators, whether they are on TikTok or YouTube, emphasizing color creativity. Retail prices range from $179 for the Sol 5 Spectra Standard to $439 for the Mini II Creator Kit.

These products are not yet widely available in France, but they should be soon. Some items, including the highly praised Sol 5 Bi-Color Selfie Light, which also features MagSafe, are already listed on Amazon.
