All-New Apple Watch SE 3: Does It Live Up to the Hype?

As speculated in recent rumors, Apple has finally updated its Apple Watch SE, introducing several significant new features after years of waiting!

What’s New with the Apple Watch SE 3

This latest version is equipped with a S10 chip and an always-on display. This allows users to easily check the time and glance at notifications without having to raise their wrist or tap the screen. According to Apple, the new cover glass is four times more crack-resistant than previous models.

The SE3 now includes sleep apnea detection (over a 30-day period) and a sleep score (to help users understand the quality of their sleep). It also features wrist temperature detection (similar to past generations, it does not measure the direct temperature but rather changes in your normal temperature) and a cycle tracking feature (which is not very impressive, to be honest).

The Apple Watch SE 3 allows users to listen to music or podcasts directly through its speaker. For phone calls or FaceTime, the S10 chip enhances voice isolation to minimize background noise, ensuring clear and comprehensible speech even in noisy environments. The classic Apple Watch gestures are also supported, including double-tap, swipe, or wrist lift.

With the introduction of the Always-On display, the Apple Watch SE 3 maintains a battery life of about 18 hours, while featuring fast charging for the first time. It now charges up to twice as fast as the previous generation: just 15 minutes of charging can provide nearly eight hours of use, and it reaches about 80% in just 45 minutes.

The Apple Watch SE 3 is available for pre-order today starting at 269 euros, with availability beginning on Friday, September 19. It comes in two colors and an aluminum case.
