Apple Watch Series 11: Revolutionizing Health with Blood Pressure Tracking!

After a brief overview of the highly positive feedback from Apple Watch users (and the number of lives it has saved), along with an image showcasing three models, Apple kicks off with the Apple Watch Series 11!

What’s New in Health Features?

For this latest edition (as rumors had suggested), there’s a strong focus on health, particularly with a feature for monitoring chronic high blood pressure. The Apple Watch’s hypertension notifications use the optical heart sensor to analyze how blood vessels react to heartbeats.

The algorithm operates in the background over a 30-day period and will alert the user if there are recurring signs of hypertension. Apple also mentions that if users receive a hypertension notification, they should monitor their blood pressure with a dedicated medical device for seven days.

By providing this information passively and continuously, the watch helps users better understand this common health issue and may encourage lifestyle changes or medical follow-up to reduce long-term health risks.

Thanks to its sensors, the Apple Watch will log various night-time data — heart rate, wrist temperature, oxygen saturation, and breathing rate — and can even detect signs of sleep apnea. With watchOS 26, it goes further by introducing a sleep score, giving users a deeper insight into the quality of their rest and suggestions for more restorative sleep.

What About Other Features?

This Apple Watch is expected to feature a display that’s twice as durable as that of the Apple Watch Series 10 (if you recall my head-on collision at the pool and the damage to my Series 10, this is no small upgrade). Additionally, it will offer enhanced sleep tracking, including sleep apnea detection. All of this comes with a new Sleep Score to gauge sleep quality.

In terms of connectivity, it includes a 5G chip, which provides improved performance with higher data speeds, enhancing the downloading of music, podcasts, and applications. To boost reception in areas with poor coverage, the Apple Watch Series 11 also features a redesigned cellular antenna.

Apple finally states a 24-hour battery life, to truly last all day. It also supports fast charging: just 15 minutes are enough to regain up to eight hours of battery life.

It is now available for pre-order starting at 449 euros (42 mm) and 479 euros (46mm), in black, silver, rose gold, and a new space gray made from 100% recycled aluminum.
