Hit the Road with CARROT!
Now compatible with CarPlay, CARROT Weather turns the app into a comprehensive navigation tool enriched with weather data. Beyond step-by-step directions, the integration provides an overview of weather conditions throughout your journey. New features include live radar, storm alerts, wind speed details, and visibility levels.
True to its snarky spirit, CARROT Weather: Alerts & Radar continues to add a humorous touch to your navigation. To customize the personality of your favorite weather narrator, you’ll still need to tweak the settings in the app!
Live on Your iPhone
The Live Activities option was already available, but now you can set it to start automatically. It’s worth noting that this feature, which displays precipitation charts for the next hour, has become even more useful (especially if you live in an area with frequent and unpredictable rainfall). Now, a Live Activity widget will automatically appear on your lock screen and on the Dynamic Island as soon as rain or snow is detected nearby.
Users will receive a notification about 15 minutes before precipitation begins, and the widget will remain active until the precipitation ends. This eliminates the need to manually open the app to activate this feature, a significant improvement for frequent users.
Availability and Conditions
Of course, not everyone will be a fan of the business model. Not all features are available for free. These new features are available to subscribers of the CARROT Weather Premium plan.
The 6.2 update for CARROT Weather is now available for download on the App Store. With the addition of CarPlay and the automation of live activities, CARROT Weather proves that it’s possible to blend utility and entertainment, even when it comes to checking the weather.
