The Beta Rollout Begins!
Available in stages, these test versions are aimed at developers, including those with a free account. As always, caution is advised: betas can often be unstable, drain battery quickly, and may contain bugs. It’s highly recommended to back up your data before installing—better safe than sorry.
Apple Intelligence Now Speaks French
And here’s some great news—Apple Intelligence is now available in French! During the earnings call, Tim Cook discussed the rollout of Apple Intelligence, which was also confirmed in the press release announcing the iPhone 16. Starting in April, Apple’s AI will be available in several new languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese, as well as versions for Singapore and India. This marks a significant milestone, as until now, Apple Intelligence was only available in a limited number of English-speaking countries and notably outside the European Union (finally, we get access!).
The expansion of Apple Intelligence into other languages could enhance its adoption, especially in Europe and other strategic markets. Until now, the language barrier hindered its growth, leaving room for competing solutions like ChatGPT, Gemini (Google), or Copilot (Microsoft). This move is part of a broader strategy to reassure European users, after several months of uncertainty about the AI’s compliance with regulations, including the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA).
