Squeezie Teams Up with France Télévisions for a Broadcast Boost
Set to be held for the last time, the GP Explorer 3 will expand beyond its usual Twitch stream. Squeezie, whose real name is Lucas Hauchard, has declared that this edition, dubbed “The Last Race,” will also be televised. France Télévisions has secured the rights to air the event across multiple channels: free practices will be available on the France.TV platform, the qualifiers will be shown on delay on France 4, and the main race will be broadcast live on France 2. This marks unprecedented coverage for an event that originated online, highlighting its growing significance.
Hybrid and Comprehensive Coverage from October 3 to 5
The event’s schedule will blend online content with TV broadcasts. On Friday and Saturday, viewers can tune into Twitch for driver introductions, concerts, and the Saturday morning free practices. On Sunday, the transition to television takes place: at 9 AM, the free practices will air on France.TV; at 2 PM, the qualifiers will be shown on delay on France 4. Finally, the race itself and the podium ceremony will be broadcast live on France 2. Hardcore fans can also watch the race through “on board” cameras mounted on the 24 drivers’ cars, available on France.TV.
200,000 Tickets Sold in Just Two Hours
The ticket release caused an immediate frenzy. In just two hours, 200,000 tickets were snapped up. For those who missed out, an official resale platform was also launched. This is further proof of the GP Explorer’s enduring popularity, even for its final edition. In 2022, the event attracted over 1.3 million concurrent viewers on Twitch, setting a record for the platform in France.
Mystery Team Revealed to Round Out the Lineup
As with previous editions, a 12th team remained undisclosed until recently. This team will be made up of Anyme and Houdi, two up-and-coming French creators. Squeezie explained his choice as a way to spotlight new talents, including what he calls “the internet sensation of 2025.” His decision has excited the community, eager to support them in this final showdown!
