Huge Deal on Eufy 2C Pro Cameras: HomeKit Compatible, No Subscription!

If you’re looking to outfit your home with wireless security cameras that don’t require a subscription, Eufy’s 2C Pro bundle, which is currently on sale, is an excellent choice.

EufyCam 2C Pro Overview

Developed by Anker’s smart home division, the eufyCam 2C Pro cameras that we’ve been using daily since their release offer 2K video recording (compared to the 1080p of the non-Pro 2C models), free local storage on the 16GB built into the base, a claimed battery life of 180 days (slightly less with frequent use, but still substantial), compatibility with Amazon and Google virtual assistants, color night vision, person detection, and support for both HomeKit and HomeKit Secure Video. However, be aware that videos accessed via HomeKit will be in 1080p, and you’ll need to use Eufy’s dedicated app to enjoy the higher quality.

HomeKit Compatibility

After testing several competitors, one of the major advantages of this bundle is the wireless range provided by the base station included in the pack—it can reliably connect cameras placed as far out as a garden and even a doorbell at a gate where competitors’ networks fail. The base also functions as a siren, local storage, and chime if you decide to add the brand’s connected doorbell. Additionally, it’s possible to use Amazon Echo devices as chimes. However, it’s important to note that the doorbells in the range are not compatible with HomeKit.

As a reminder, since the release of iOS/iPadOS/tvOS 15, macOS Monterey, and iCloud+, Apple has removed the five-camera limit for HomeKit Secure Video (unlimited with the 2TB iCloud+ subscription, one camera with the 50GB offering, and five cameras with the 200GB plan). This service from Apple allows users to store camera recordings for 10 days at no additional cost (beyond the storage plan), with data privacy assured by Apple.
