From Color to Clarity
Apple offers its Beats earbuds in a variety of colors beyond just white! Initially launched in February in four standard colors, the Powerbeats Pro 2 are making headlines again with a unique version.
Indeed, leaker Sonny Dickson has just shared several photos of a completely transparent Powerbeats Pro 2 prototype, showcasing the internal components of the earbuds and their charging case. This transparency certainly adds to their allure!
He notes that this is likely a non-final model, used internally at Apple or Beats for testing or demonstration purposes. In any case, whether this model will be released remains unconfirmed.
Indeed, the Beats Studio Buds+ were officially released in 2023 with a transparent version (currently on promotion), although it revealed fewer internal details than this prototype suggests. Apple thus continues to show a fondness for translucent design, which rekindles a sense of nostalgia among enthusiasts.
Earbuds That Have It All?
The Powerbeats Pro 2 are Apple’s high-end sports earbuds, marketed under the Beats brand. With adjustable ear hooks, excellent battery life (up to 9 hours), powerful sound, and Apple’s H2 chip (like the AirPods Pro 2), they merge Apple’s technology with a design tailored for physical exertion.
Launched in 2019, the PowerBeats Pro are often described as the sportier AirPods, much better suited for listening during long training sessions. The 2024 version also introduced new health features, such as a heart rate sensor, further enriching the brand’s audio/fitness ecosystem.
