A Strategic Acquisition to Boost Animal Health Initiatives
Following an explosive year in 2024, with tenfold growth in the connected animal health sector and a significant breakthrough in the American market, Invoxia is not slowing down. The company plans to invest 3 million euros over the next two years to enhance its technical and commercial developments. With the global pet market projected to reach 350 billion dollars by 2027, this merger strengthens Invoxia’s position as a leader in pet technology.
The goal is to expand its range of products dedicated to pet health monitoring, while also bolstering its team with about ten new hires expected in the sales and R&D departments by 2025.
According to Clément Moreau, CEO of Invoxia: This acquisition reflects our commitment to invest in providing increasingly effective solutions in the field of connected animal health. The innovations developed by Caremitou complement our existing portfolio, meeting the growing needs for monitoring and animal welfare
.
The Caremitou litter box, already used by over 200 cats and recommended by dozens of veterinarians, will officially be marketed under the Invoxia brand starting in the second quarter of 2025.
Caremitou: The Connected Litter Box Monitoring Your Cat’s Health
Already praised by numerous veterinarians, the smart Caremitou litter box can detect early signs of several chronic diseases. This union marks a new phase in Invoxia’s strategy, reinforcing its ambition to transform pet welfare through increasingly innovative connected technologies. Developed in collaboration with the Toulouse veterinary school, the smart Caremitou litter box goes beyond mere waste collection.
Equipped with a range of sensors, it tracks physiological and biological data to early detect diseases, including renal insufficiency (analyzing urinary parameters to identify kidney issues at the earliest signs), diabetes (monitoring glucose levels in urine to warn about glycemic irregularities), liver problems (detecting indicators related to liver function), and weight issues (monitoring weight changes to alert about obesity or unexplained weight loss).
Philippe Daurenjou, founder of Caremitou and now Head of Animal Health Market at Invoxia, states: This acquisition demonstrates our shared commitment to addressing the challenges of pet welfare and health through a non-invasive approach. Today, it is preventive and will be predictive tomorrow

Invoxia has already made its mark previously with the Minitailz Dog Tracker (see our review), the first dog health tracker equipped with AI-enhanced biometric technology, a device that also won an CES Innovation Award in 2024.
This small device notably detects atrial fibrillation—a precursor to heart disease in cats and dogs. It also monitors separation anxiety—a condition that affects over 10% of dogs and can now be accurately tracked.
The integration of Caremitou into the Invoxia ecosystem thus opens doors to new connected products, combining AI, biometrics, and predictive health monitoring.
