Segway Navimow Robot Mower for $899!

Every homeowner with a yard knows that the arrival of good weather also means it’s time to maintain their property, which often involves long hours spent mowing the lawn. Robot mowers can be a great help, but traditionally required laying a perimeter wire. A major advantage of the Navimow range is that it uses a GNSS navigation system which completely eliminates the need for perimeter wires.

The Navimow i105E and i108E are very similar, but differ in their battery life and therefore the maximum mowing area they can cover.

• The i105E model can mow up to 500㎡ with its 2.55Ah battery providing 60 minutes of autonomy.
• The i108E model can mow up to 800㎡ with its 5.1Ah battery providing 120 minutes of autonomy.

Additionally, the cutting height can be adjusted (using a simple button on the top) from 20 to 60mm, the maximum slope is 30%, and the noise level during mowing is 58 dB (these robots are extremely quiet), and both use the EFLS 2.0 localization, on-board camera, and are compatible with the optional 4G Navimow Access+ module. You’ll need to choose between the two based on the size of your property (and consider a different model if your property is larger than 800㎡).

A Comprehensive App and an Efficient Mower

The app is very comprehensive, allowing users to set mowing schedules for automatic activation (with zone selection, and the option to mow until the battery is depleted or to return to the station once the entire area has been covered), adjust light intensity depending on day or night, enable night mowing, relocate the station without remapping, perform updates, and adjust mowing to weather conditions (with data transmitted by OpenWeather, the option to mow in light rain, and to delay mowing after it stops raining with a wait time set by the user).

I honestly was truly amazed by the mowing capability of this robot, which allows for regular mowing through automation and scheduling to keep a pristine lawn with minimal effort. Of course, some tight corners and uneven edges will need a string trimmer, but this takes just a few minutes compared to the time saved by not having to manually handle the mower, which still required me to pull out the weed whacker for finishing touches.
