New MacBook Air M3 Now Starts with 16GB RAM – No Price Increase!

Apple has hinted at a big announcement-filled week! Although the MacBook Air won’t be upgraded to an M4 chip, there’s still something to cheer about. Apple has decided to upgrade the standard RAM from 8GB to 16GB across the board, and they’re doing it without any price increase!

A Little Year-End Treat!

Has Apple finally listened to customer complaints about only offering 8GB of RAM on the entry-level models? Or is this move a strategic one to prepare for the launch of Apple Intelligence, which requires at least 8GB of RAM for local operations? Could it also be a strategic move ahead of tomorrow’s financial results?

Regardless, all 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air models equipped with an M3 chip, released in March, are now upgraded to 16GB of RAM. And all this without any price increase!

While the starting SSD remains at 256GB, this bodes well for future machines with an M4 chip. Also, Apple’s Refurbished store should soon see previous models back in stock at even more attractive prices. The 13-inch MacBook Air with 16GB/256GB configuration is now available at 1299 euros, and the 15-inch version at 1599 euros.
