Soundcore Aerofit and Aerofit Pro
Indeed, many users find in-ear headphones uncomfortable, as they can cause discomfort after a while and isolate them from their surroundings (even though a high-performance Transparency mode can mitigate this issue). Following in the footsteps of Bose and Shokz (among others), Soundcore has introduced its own take on open-ear headphones with the Aerofit and Aerofit Pro models.
Note that the Aerofits do not use bone conduction technology but instead deliver sound through a speaker that is positioned above the ear canal, secured by an ear hook (incorporating a 0.7mm titanium wire). This not only keeps you connected with your environment, but could also appeal to those who dislike intrusive models. Soundcore claims durability with hooks that have withstood over 5,000 twists during internal testing.
Up to 14 Hours of Battery Life
Both models feature 4 microphones, Bluetooth 5.3 (with LDAC codec on Android only), and the Aerofit Pro stands out with larger and more effective speakers (16.2mm versus 14mm), 360° spatial audio, a battery life of 14 hours (11 hours for the standard model) extended to 46 hours with the charging case (compared to 42 hours for the Aerofits), a magnetic neck cable, and an IPX5 rating (while the Aerofits boast a superior IPX7 rating).
