Will You Snap Up the iPhone 16 for $592?
The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch OLED display, an A18 chip engraved in 3 nm compatible with Apple Intelligence, Face ID, and an Action button. This is also the first iPhone to include the Apple C1 modem (supporting 4G, 5G, and WiFi 6). However, it lacks a Home button and Lightning port, opting instead for USB-C.
Under the hood, the iPhone 16 packs an A18 chip (which is not quite the same as the iPhone 16) with a 6-core CPU (2 high-performance cores and 4 high-efficiency cores) and a 4-core GPU. The iPhone 16 is also compatible with Apple Intelligence, unlike the iPhone 15 series (you would need at least an iPhone 15 Pro).
It is the first iPhone (and Apple product) to benefit from its in-house chip. After years of research, Apple has developed its own modem designed to meet the very specific needs of iPhone users
and does not intend to compete with Qualcomm, especially with the Snapdragon X75 from the iPhone 16. The C1 chip supports 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6, but does not support millimeter-wave 5G or Wi-Fi 7 (hence its absence in the iPhone 16).
It features a 2-in-1 camera system (48 MP Fusion Camera: 26 mm, f/1.6 aperture, optical image stabilization, hybrid Focus Pixels, super high-resolution photos in 24 MP and 48 MP, with 2x 12 MP telephoto lens, optical image stabilization, and up to 10x digital zoom).
The iPhone 16 benefits from an improved camera sensor compared to the iPhone SE 3, but much weaker than that of the iPhone 16. Although it retains a single lens, it benefits from better software processing and a more effective night mode, thus providing better quality shots in low light.
Finally, the Right Price?
The iPhone 16 positions itself as the most accessible option in the iPhone 16 series, with a more affordable starting price, but still quite expensive (far too much so), since it starts at $719! This promotion comes just in time to finally make this model available at a truly interesting price.
