Belkin’s New 3-in-1 Qi2 Charger
The 2024 BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 adopts the MagSafe design but now features Qi2 technology, including a metal stand with an adjustable magnetic Qi2 charging area for compatible iPhones (from iPhone 12, excluding SE) with 15W fast wireless charging and a magnetic puck for fast charging on compatible Apple Watches (starting with Series 7). iPhones can also be placed horizontally to utilize the Standby
mode, which can be especially handy on a bedside table, replacing a traditional alarm clock.

What is Qi2?
The first chargers supporting the Qi2 standard (pronounced Chi 2
to impress at social gatherings), also referred to as Qi v.2.0 in the official documentation of the Wireless Power Consortium, have finally received their certification and are hitting the market. Major accessory makers like Anker and Belkin are lining up to offer users 15W wireless charging with alignment ensured by magnets (sounds familiar? We’ll get to that later).
As a reminder, Apple collaborated with the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) to develop this new generation of the Qi wireless charging standard, based on Cupertino’s MagSafe technology. The consortium has integrated a magnetic charging profile into the Qi2 standard, allowing for optimal alignment of the wireless charger and the device being charged with the help of magnets. Our standard ensures that consumers’ devices are safe, efficient, and interoperable with other brands. Which iPhones are Qi2 Compatible?
For reference, the iPhone 12 (compatibility was recently and quietly added with iOS 17.4), iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 are compatible with the Qi2 wireless charging standard (and MagSafe). iPhones that support wireless charging and are not Qi2 compatible will still charge, but at 7.5W.
