AirPods 4
The AirPods 4 largely retain the design of the AirPods 3 but come with enhancements aimed at providing improved comfort to fit most users better. The AirPods 4 include Apple’s most advanced H2 chip (found in the AirPods Pro 2), along with a redesigned internal structure and speakers to deliver optimized performance, featuring deeper and more controlled bass.
A Major Upgrade?
In addition to featuring the H2 chip and a pressure sensor on the stem, the AirPods 4 support active noise cancellation (ANC), a notable challenge for semi-in-ear design, with Transparency mode allowing environmental awareness, adaptive audio, and personalized spatial audio.
The case includes a USB-C port, an integrated speaker (making it easier to locate with the Find My App), and wireless charging, compatible with Qi standards (allowing use with most charging mats) and also with MagSafe chargers, Qi2 (without optimization for charging and positioning of the case through magnets), and with the Apple Watch charging puck. Apple also claims a battery life of 30 hours with the charging case.
The AirPods 4 are available in a standard version launched at 149 euros, and an ANC version (with active noise cancellation) priced at 199 euros without promotions.
