What’s Coming Next? Apple TV, Vision Pro 2, Studio Display 2, iPad Mini 8 Unveiled!

Could it be the Perseids influencing the timing of leaks? Regardless, this morning we see a convergence of predictions about upcoming Cupertino-made products: Apple TV, Vision Pro 2 with an M5 chip, and the continued anticipation of Studio Display 2!

Apple TV: A 2025 Model Supercharged with the A17 Pro Chip

As is often the case, hidden details in Apple’s code suggest the arrival of a new Apple TV model equipped with the A17 Pro chip, already in use in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad mini 7. This update would be a significant leap from the current Apple TV 4K, which uses the A15 Bionic, providing more power for Apple Intelligence and the ability to run console-level games with advanced graphic effects.

Little is known about other specifications, but the device is expected to feature a new Apple chip for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It might launch in September 2025 alongside new iPhones or could be delayed to later in the year.

Vision Pro 2: The Power of the M5 Chip by Late 2025

The Apple headset is also set to get an upgrade. Code references confirm that a Vision Pro 2 is in the works, this time powered by the M5 chip. Despite previous rumors of an M4, this choice ensures a noticeable performance boost without major design changes.

Apple is also planning to introduce a new strap to enhance comfort during prolonged use. The release could happen as early as late 2025, before the arrival of Studio Display 2.

Studio Display 2: Expected Debut in 2026

Looking slightly further into the future, Apple is also working on a successor to the Studio Display launched in 2022. Identified under the codename J427, this upcoming monitor might adopt mini-LED technology to offer enhanced brightness, better contrast, and improved color accuracy.

A second model, known in the code as J527, remains a mystery: it could be a variant of Studio Display 2 or a distinct product, such as an update to the Pro Display XDR. The release is scheduled for early 2026, likely alongside the first Macs equipped with the M5 chip.

It’s also possible that it refers to a new version of the Pro Display XDR. Indeed, Mark Gurman believes that an Apple Pro Display XDR 2 is not currently a priority for Apple. Earlier rumors mentioned a high-resolution 7K display, complementing the high-end range alongside the Pro Display XDR

And an iPad mini 8…

According to a recent leak (again from the code lines), Apple plans to use the A19 Pro chip, debuting in the iPhone 17 Pro, in… the iPad mini 8, codenamed J510/J511. Although the updated tablet isn’t expected for some time (sometime during 2026…), internal preparations for the device have undoubtedly begun.
