Apple: Here Are the New Products Planned for Early 2025

As the holiday season winds down, Apple is already gearing up for a big start to 2025. Reports suggest that the tech giant is preparing to unveil at least five major products, including new MacBooks, iPhones, and iPads.

A New MacBook Air Arrives Before Spring

One of the most anticipated releases is the next-generation MacBook Air, expected to launch before spring 2025. According to reports, this new model will bring notable upgrades, including:

  • Apple’s powerful M4 chip
  • An optional nano-textured display for better glare reduction
  • A 12 MP webcam with Center Stage for improved video calls

This refresh aims to keep the MacBook Air at the forefront of ultra-thin laptops, offering both performance and portability.

iPhone SE 4: Apple’s Affordable Model Gets a Big Upgrade

Apple is also set to launch a completely redesigned iPhone SE 4, bringing it closer to modern iPhone models. Key features rumored for this budget-friendly iPhone include:

  • A design similar to the iPhone 14
  • 6.1-inch OLED display
  • Face ID for the first time in the SE lineup
  • Apple’s A18 chip for improved speed and efficiency
  • A new Apple-made 5G modem
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • A 48 MP camera from the iPhone 16
  • A USB-C charging port

With these major upgrades, the price is expected to increase, possibly reaching €599, which is €70 more than the previous iPhone SE 3.

Three New iPads Are on the Way

Apple is also planning to update its tablet lineup with three new iPad models in early 2025:

  • A refreshed entry-level iPad (11-inch) with a new processor capable of handling Apple Intelligence features
  • Two iPad Air models (11-inch and 13-inch) powered by the M3 chip

The standard iPad is expected to launch in spring, while the iPad Air models could be unveiled in Q2 2025. Additionally, there are reports that Apple may integrate its in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips into these new devices.

A New Smart Home Device: The HomePad

One of the more intriguing potential releases is a new Apple smart home device, rumored to be called the HomePad. This device is expected to combine the functionality of an iPad and a HomePod, serving as a smart display for home automation.

According to analyst Mark Gurman, the HomePad could launch as early as March 2025, though Ming-Chi Kuo suggests it might be pushed back to WWDC in June or even Q3 2025.

Apple Watch SE 3 Could Launch Alongside iPhone SE 4

Rounding out the list of potential releases, Apple may introduce a new Apple Watch SE 3 at the same time as the iPhone SE 4. This would provide budget-conscious buyers with an updated smartwatch option that sits below the Apple Watch Series 10 and Ultra 2 in price.

A Busy Start to the Year for Apple

With a new MacBook Air, iPhone SE 4, iPad lineup, smart home device, and possible Apple Watch SE 3, Apple is setting up an exciting first half of 2025. While exact release dates remain uncertain, one thing is clear: Apple has no intention of slowing down when it comes to innovation.
