A New Series from the Minds Behind Blacklist and The Call
Just hours after revealing The Savant starring Jessica Chastain, Apple TV+ continues to roll out its upcoming slate with The Last Frontier, a stark departure into a wildly different genre. Unlike its digital investigation and underground themes, this series dives into an intense prison drama set against the backdrop of the untamed wilderness.
Created by Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist) and Richard DāOvidio (The Call), both known for their mastery in suspense and action, The Last Frontier will feature 8 episodes, released weekly following the initial drop of two episodes on Friday, October 10th. The season finale is scheduled for December 5, 2025.
Violent Inmates on the Loose After a Crash in Alaska
Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, The Great Gatsby) stars as Frank Remnick, the sole federal marshal overseeing a vast and isolated territory in Alaska. His routine is upended when a plane carrying prisoners crashes in the snowy wilderness, setting dozens of dangerous criminals free (that’s your premise).
The series promises more than just a simple manhunt. As the episodes progress, the lead character begins to suspect the crash might actually be a premeditated attack, marking the beginning of a conspiracy with far-reaching implications.
In the meantime, Apple has released a dark and tense first teaser, hinting at a chilling and oppressive atmosphere, enhanced by sleek cinematography and ever-present tension.
