A Space Inspired by Osaka’s Creative Energy
Earlier this month, Apple announced its latest retail location in the bustling Umeda district of Osaka. In a press release, Diadora Obra, Senior Vice President of Retail and Human Resources, described the venue as a stunning space that mirrors the dynamic energy of the vibrant city of Osaka.
Apple aims to deepen its connection with the creative communities and local businesses in the Kansai region. Featuring a curved façade and an entrance covered by a marquee, Apple Umeda also stands out due to its architectural design focused on inclusiveness and accessibility.
An Inclusive Apple Store
True to its commitment to universal design, Apple has ensured that the store is welcoming to all guests, including those with disabilities. Tables and seating are available at various heights, and aisles are wide enough to accommodate wheelchair passage.
Portable hearing assistance devices are available throughout the store, and the Today at Apple workshops are also compatible with specific hearing solutions to enhance accessibility.
Celebrating Apple Intelligence in Workshops
To mark the opening, two free workshops will be offered starting Saturday. The first is Say Hello to Apple Intelligence
, a session designed to explore how to leverage the new features of Apple Intelligence in everyday life for increased productivity and creativity. The second, Let’s take more attractive photos with iPhone
, is a photography workshop that delves into the advanced camera features of the iPhone 16 series and how to make photos more attractive
.
Apple has also released exclusive wallpapers celebrating the opening, featuring a stylized version of its logo inspired by local culture, a tradition now well-established at inaugurations.
