The Sony WH-1000XM5, one of the top active noise-cancelling headphones on the market, is now available at an attractive price thanks to a special promotion.

Sony WH-1000XM5 at $299
The latest iteration of Sony’s high-end Bluetooth headphones features a more modern design, and in my opinion (which is of course subjective), a sleeker look with its slimmed-down stems (although the ear cups no longer fold). The new model includes proprietary 30mm drivers (compared to 40mm in the previous generation) designed to deliver a more natural sound and more precise bass (indeed, the previous generation emphasized this part of the spectrum, but the bass was not always well controlled). It also boasts improved active noise cancellation, particularly in mid and high frequencies, eight microphones, new synthetic leather, while maintaining touch controls supported by a physical button for different ANC modes, a mini-jack port, and a USB-C port.
30 Hours of Battery Life
Sony highlights enhanced voice quality in calls thanks to four beamforming microphones (out of the eight included in the headphones) and machine learning algorithms. The headphones support AAC, SBC, LDAC codecs, proprietary DSEE Extreme upscaling, 360 Reality Audio, and weigh 250 grams (254g for the XM4 model). With ANC enabled, the battery life is 30 hours (or 40 hours without). In summary, these headphones are certainly one of the best options available on the market.
