Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar
Bose has introduced the Smart Ultra Soundbar, which replaces the Soundbar 900 in their lineup. The new soundbar maintains the design and many specifications of its predecessor, which was launched in September 2021, with dimensions of 5.8 x 104.5 x 10.7 cm and weighing 5.8kg.
The Smart Ultra Soundbar features a set of seven speakers, including two upward-facing for Dolby Atmos, four racetrack (oval-shaped) speakers on the front, and one tweeter. The new Dialogue mode uses machine learning algorithms to enhance voice clarity, while proprietary TrueSpace and PhaseGuide technologies promise heightened elevation effects for Dolby Atmos. The soundbar also adapts its output to the acoustics of the room thanks to Adaptiq technology.
In terms of connectivity, the Smart Ultra Soundbar offers an HDMI eARC port, an optical input, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, and compatibility with Amazon and Google virtual assistants.
A Scalable System
It’s also possible to add surround speakers and a subwoofer (Bass Module 500 and Surround Speakers) to create a more comprehensive system.
Additionally, you can pair a Bose headset via SimpleSync within the Bose Music app where independent volume controls allow you to lower or mute the soundbar while keeping the headset volume at the desired level (which can be handy for some users).
