Is the New Mac Mini M4 Ad Proving Size Isn’t Everything?

Every so often, Apple delights us with engaging commercials, which often earn accolades within the industry.

Small but Mighty!

In between product launches, Apple has just released an amusing advertisement to celebrate the debut of its latest product. The new device arrives in a small (recycled) box that’s barely bigger than the product itself, reminiscent of a jack-in-the-box or a cheeky kid entering a playground. Indeed, the Mac mini M4 has a mischievous streak akin to a lively child.

Then, Cupertino begins to highlight the features and capabilities of the Mac mini M4. It’s worth mentioning the subtle way the device is turned on using a button now placed underneath (which proves that design can always get more user-unfriendly, like the Magic Mouse).

Subsequently, we see appearances by guest stars: once again Final Cut Pro (with its new, AI-driven features), as well as the USB-C accessories released yesterday (which have all seen a price increase) alongside the iMac M4.

Also noteworthy is the brand new one-meter USB-C Thunderbolt 5 braided cable Apple launched yesterday. This cable supports Thunderbolt 5 data transfer speeds up to 120 Gbps, Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 4 data transfers up to 40 Gbps, USB 3 data transfer up to 10 Gbps, DisplayPort 2.1 video output, and a charging power up to 240 W. This cable is currently selling for 80 euros at the Apple Store (generic versions are available from other retailers, see the link at the end of the news).
