As for the camera, the layout reverts to the pill-shaped alignment of sensors. The main sensor remains at 48MP, f/1.6 aperture, and 2 microns per pixel. It retains a 2x zoom (built into the sensor), equivalent to 52mm.

The 48MP central sensor now offers a 2x telephoto option with full-resolution photos at 12 MP. With a faster f/1.6 aperture, it captures 1.6 times more light than before. The iPhone 16 can merge a 48 MP and 12 MP photo to balance light quality and image details into a 24 MP image.
Video recording capabilities include 4k60 with Dolby Vision HDR. The second sensor is a 12 MP ultra-wide angle at f/2.2, equivalent to a 13mm focal length. Apple claims 1.4 microns per pixel.
