With less than a month until the unveiling of the iPhone 17 lineup, we’re bound to see numerous leaks each day… And indeed, a supposed new photo from the iPhone 17 Pro production line just surfaced this afternoon.

It appears to be the upcoming frame of the device. This year, Apple seems to be ditching its traditional glass and titanium frame design for a single-piece aluminum body, in which the camera block is directly machined.
A Redesigned and Lighter Framework
Published on the Korean blog Naver by yeux1122, the image displays a chassis milled from aluminum, featuring a large rectangular module that spans the entire width of the back. Unlike the iPhone 16 Pro, where the glass camera block was attached to a likewise glass rear panel.
Here, the module appears to be integrated with the metal structure. A cutout at the back would leave room for a glass section around the Apple logo, likely to maintain wireless charging and MagSafe compatibility.
Using aluminum in a Pro model is a first since Apple differentiated its lines. This material, about 40% lighter than titanium, should significantly reduce weight while providing better thermal conductivity to dissipate heat from the new A19 Pro chip and the battery.
Enhanced Cooling and New Finishes
Apple is reportedly also working on a redesigned internal system, including a vapor chamber to optimize cooling. This could address the heating issues noted in recent Pro models.
In terms of aesthetics, aluminum allows for more variety in color choices than titanium, which is often limited to muted, slightly reflective shades. The iPhone 17 Pro could be available in Black, White, Gray, and also in two new distinct shades: Deep Blue and Orange.
An Expanded and Unified Camera Block
The leak also suggests a redesigned camera array: a large rectangle that stretches from one edge to the other, matching the chassis color for a more uniform look. This change would mark an end to the two-tone contrasts that have been familiar for several generations.
If this leak is confirmed, Apple would be initiating a major evolution in the iPhone 17 Pro’s design, combining lighter weight, improved thermal performance, and a new aesthetic language.
